When you decide to sell your home, the process of “purging" unwanted items can be both emotional and over-whelming. Most people do not want their unwanted items to go to waste. But as the closing date for the sale gets closer, many sellers resort to renting a dumpster or hiring a hauler to take their unwanted items to the dump. Recyclable items end up in our already overflowing landfills and useable items are discarded while people in our communities struggle to meet basic needs. Trained coordinators sort and direct the removal of unwanted household items to be donated or recycled.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Home sellers pay discounted rates for coordination and hauling service through Real Estate Agents Recycle.
Participating real estate agents make a donation to Real Estate Agents Recycle to have access to the services.
A Note to Home Buyers: If you are buying a home, you and your agent can support Real Estate Agents Recycle, too, and take advantage of complimentary energy assessment services from Energy Efficiency Solutions.
